Profile

Author is terrible at profile blurbs and knows this is a cop-out. Third-generation fan, fourth-generation feminist. Writer since age eleven. Interests range widely over the sciences and humanities. Often reads 3-5 books concurrently. Would like to art more. Compulsively makes playlists for works in progress. Writes with right hand, but bats and mouses left.

Author is a square married het with an aesthetic charitably described as “early phase mad scientist butch”. Has never punched a Nazi, but spat back at a pair of them when I was fifteen. Good reflexes in a crisis, and prone to panic once things have resolved. Tea drinker.

I have the more common forms of synesthesia (colored letters, numbers with personalities) but my main experience is feeling sound as textures and motion. I really love deep reddish purples. I buy samples and wear lots of different scents, but the one I have a bottle of is Chanel’s Cuir de Russie. I own a tarot deck as a tool to manipulate symbols–using it like a Rorschach blot to help me know my own mind, or a random writing prompt generator.

I like to make things out of string, taking a line and making it into a plane, curving that plane, folding it into a three dimensional shape. I hate sewing so much I’ll rewrite knitting patterns into the round to avoid seaming pieces together. I enjoy untangling knots.
