So hey, I'm still alive
This morning I wrote, so posting seemed within reach, but it's been almost an hour and a couple bad attempts. I can't think of anything to post about, but if anyone has a question or a meme, I could do that.
Yeah.
Or if not, at least know I'm reading and cheering you on, and will have more words at some point.
Thanks : )

I'm glad you're around.
Have you been cooking anything interesting?

The spouse does most of the cooking, and without a commute he's more relaxed and more creative, which has helped in dealing with the spottiness of grocery shelves. Things are mostly stocked back up, so he's turned that scheming mind to rearranging the pantry and upgrading equipment.
We had homemade cornmeal breaded chicken tenders and roasted brussels today. Tomorrow is a big pot of slow-roasted cube steak with mushroom gravy, and I hear tell of stuffed mushroom caps. We have an ice-cream maker attachment for his Kitchen Aid on order, and that will be an exciting day when that arrives.

I had no idea that you could get an ice-cream attachment. We have a stand mixer that we have basically never used because I almost immediately got diagnosed with celiac.

Yesterday, I happened to see a small bird get trapped in the netting on my patio, and so did my orange/white cat Little Orange, who instantly crouched down into hunter mode, still and staring. I hurried out to carefully lift up the netting on the opposite side from fierce feline, and the little bird in a minute or so realized there was a path to freedom, and flew for it.
On the other hand, Lindy is proving on his own that yes, domestic cats are a high threat to wildlife (birds, etc.). He's brought me three or four dead songbirds this year. *sigh*
Tomato stew turned out well--I used every extant ripe tomato I had (3/5 fill of 8-quart pressure cooker), two big onions, two heads garlic, 32 oz chicken stock, 1 pound Conecuh sausage, and seasoning.
