~*~Amazon.com has no love from me. I bought Labyrinth and a CD to
bring my order of a Bjorn Baby Green Potty up to free shipping level.
Target said they had said pottys, but they lied, and I'm
looking to capitalize on the Cmonkey's recent interest in bathrooms
and peeing and whatnot. They are sending the media but withholding
the potty. Want. Potty. Damn it.

~*~Parenthood is a type of mental illness, I freely admit. Yes, we've
been up 5x a night for the last two nights, as the Cmonkey works on
something in her brain that won't let her sleep, but it doesn't quite
explain why I'm excited about something that looks like a dog dish for
my child to--dare to dream!--poop in. It's not even about moving from
diapers to potty, since it's more of a toy to add to pre- and
post-bath 'nekkid baby time' and encourage her interest. and I
kinda like washing diapers most of the time, but that's another post I
may spam you with later if you don't come across with the Torchwood
pron
.

~*~Cmonkey's Cow-blanky is showing the signs of Much Love (worn edges,
smelling like spit) and a back-up or two is called for before we
attempt a washing, but Target failed us yet again even though that's
where [livejournal.com profile] thassalia got her the first one. I did find it on
Amazon and alas! Cow-blanky is not actually a cow, but a *giraffe*.
This explains the smell!

~*~I'm becoming ever-so-slightly fannish about Torchwood, which is
like X-files meets Doctor Who meets Seven Seconds in Heaven (except
totally out of the closet, baby). Things I love about Torchwood:

*A pet pterodactyl.

*"Put your hand in the box." "What's in the box?" "Pain!
Erm, a Time Lord Uhm, nothing."

*Newbie Gwen painfully out of her depth--at Torchwood they know you're
finally starting to get the hang of the job when you develop PTSD.

*A pet pterodactyl with condiment preferences.

*Owen's lab looks like the dollhouse version of Dr. Frank N. Furter's lab.

*OMG kissing.

*Such chewy, illuminating, derailling flaws; Ianto's hollow composure,
Owen's bitter misanthropy, Gwen's inability to pull the trigger on
anything. Oh, Toshiko, what lovely awfulness do you have
tucked away? I'll bet it's curiosity fueled by fear...

So. Anyone know where to find the angsty hot pron? Don't tell me I
have to write my own, I'm totally out of practice and my keyboard
access is sketchy (working title, "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a
Board") (kidding!) (no, really, *beats brain with rock*). And please,
fandom, if you've ever cared for me you'll listen to my warning:
no babyfic. Gwen and Owen's lovechild would totally look like
Alfred E. Newman and even the pterodactyl wouldn't eat it.

~*~In closing, yesterday I walked one mile and ran a quarter mile.

I don't think I've ever heard that worded more accurately. :D Thanks for the laugh.

and even the pterodactyl wouldn't eat it.

If it had been drowned in BBQ sauce, maaaaayyyyybe...Remember, Myfanwy *did* try to eat Ms. Clanky in ep 4.

It's totally a cow!!!

All right. So I've also been watching Torchwood. And it's ridiculous. And Captain Jack is TERRIBLE. And I kind of love it, even though I can't always tell Owen and Ianto apart on my television because of it's spastic dance.

Owen's the one that hates people and Ianto's the bisexual.

Yes, but they both look and sound the same on the television when it's doing it's wonky dance of I can't see it because it's dark.

IIRC, Owen's pretty "come one, come all" in the pilot episode. Not sure I saw the ep where Ianto's flexibility is shown (I can't about 20% of the visuals of any tv I actually watch these days).
